Text dt. - Der Band erscheint in der von Ute Eskildsen herausgegebenen Buchreihe ´Beruf: Fotografin´. Als Fee Schlapper anfing als Porträtfotografin zu arbeiten, war es noch ein Wagnis, mit der Kundschaft das Studio zu verlassen, um sie im nahegelegenen Park aufzunehmen. Deshalb wurde Fee Schlapper (1927-2000) schnell zu einer bekannten Porträtfotografin mit eigener Handschrift. Berühmt wurden ihre Kinderbilder, weil sie die Kinder als Persönlichkeiten ernst nahm, und ihre ´Porträts über die Zeit´, bei denen sie die einst fotografierten Kinder nochmals als Erwachsene porträtiert hat.
